Southern Highlands Orienteers (SHOO) is proud to bring orienteering to the suburbs and parks of the Macarthur. Summer Saturdays are a great way to learn orienteering close to home, or to pack some fast-paced competitive orienteering into your weekend. Oh, and for this event, residents of Camden, Camden South and Elderslie can participate for free.

One of our traditional Summer Saturdays maps, Camden Riverside is both scenic and (surprisingly) challenging with some bush sections along the river.

Assembly location and time
The assembly is at Chellaston Reserve, Chellaston Road, Camden. There will be red and white orienteering directional signs out to guide you into the assembly. Just park nearby and come to the registration desk.

Event registration is from 9:00am. Event briefing (particularly important for new orienteers) is at 9.30am). You can then start your run any time between 9:30am and 10:30am (it's a good idea to take a bit of time to plan using your map).

Courses and cost
We have the following courses available:

• Short line course (approx 2km), good for kids and beginners

• “Score” course: You have 45 minutes to get to as many checkpoints as you can - the most points in the shortest time wins!

Costs:

• Adults: $12 for an Orienteering NSW member, $14 for a non-member

• Family and group concessions available.
